Your Role

You would be reporting to the Purchase Ledger Supervisor in a number 2 capacity. Working in a senior capacity in a team of 9 people in a high volume environment.  The role is KPI focussed, to ensure and develop the purchase ledger function so all suppliers are paid accurately and within agreed terms.

This Role will include:

  • Processing payment runs and providing feedback to team
  • Reviewing and reporting supplier debit balances and reconciling control accounts
  • Leading supplier calls
  • Reviewing supplier statements and producing  an action plan to ensure queries are resolved in order for KPI departmental targets to be met
  • Query management including resolution and escalation
  • Take lead on year end and audit queries
  • Proactively communicating with suppliers, Purchase Ledger Supervisor, head office budget holders, warehouse and store contacts, and building a strong rapport by providing a trusted service

Your qualities

You should have:

  • Accounts payable experience
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience
  • Experience in high volume invoice environment
  • Experience working in a medium/large business
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent people and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong priority setting/time management
  • Analytical and collaborative approach
