An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger & Banking Clerk at ScS, one of the UK’s leading sofa, carpet specialists. Your Role
Working in a team of 10 people in a high volume environment to ensure your assigned base of suppliers are paid accurately and within agreed terms, and in addition ensuring branch receipts are reconciled across our network of stores.
This Role will include:
- Managing your own supplier base, ensure invoices are paid accurately and within agreed terms
- Monthly supplier statements completed to a high quality alongside a list of actions to tidy the ledger (if applicable)
- Invoice and credit note processing for both stock vendors (furniture/carpet purchase orders) and non-stock vendors (operating business expenses)
- Proactively investigating and collaboratively working with contacts on invoice queries to ensure suppliers are paid on the next payment run
- Provide cover for daily import of branch receipts, reconciling with what stores have posted to the system for both cards and cash.
- Proactively communicating with suppliers, Purchase Ledger Supervisor, head office budget holders, warehouse and store contacts, and building a strong rapport by providing a trusted service
Your qualities

- Accounts payable experience
- Experience in high volume invoice environment
- Experience working in a medium/large business
