Job Description

This role is ideally suited to a recently qualified graduate with an appropriate degree, skills and work experience or a developer with one to two years commercial experience who is looking for the next step in their career.

Role Summary

Responsibility for the development and administration of our in-house systems, be able to offer excellent technical support when required, and ensure the company standards are maintained or exceeded.

Experience

Candidates must possess and be able to demonstrate commercial experience and technical skill in the following areas;

  • Visual Studio .NET
  • SQL Server knowledge would be an advantage
  • Some Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be desirable

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop applications using Visual Studio, both Windows and web based.
  • Undertake customisation and development projects from proposal to deployment
  • Assist in resolving faults (e.g. system failure) occurring in the operation of software, especially those requiring greater expertise
  • Monitor our ERP and other systems to ensure that they run optimally
  • Analysis and interpretation of scoping documents, identifying potential concerns and recommending possible solutions
  • Facilitate and analyse documented customer requisitions to provide advice and development specifications for suggested applications
  • Ensure created applications and are documented and filed in the development library
  • Have a willingness to learn new skills such as SQL.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Development Manager
